2023 Spanish Art Workshop

DIA 01 – DOMINGO: MADRID

Check-in hotel and Meeting Madrid where your Tiempo Natura Tour Managerand artist, Carmen Gardner will Welcome you to this fascinating art workshop and expert guided tour. Welcome dinner at local restaurant with transfers. Overnight

DIA 02 – LUNES: MADRID

Breakfast. Introduction to Madrid and tour of the El Prado Museum with expert. Free time to lunch and visit to Reina Sofia modern art museum. The rest of the afternoon-evening is free for own explorations. Dinner and overnight in the hotel.

DIA 03 – MARTES: MERIDA/BURGUILLOS DEL CERRO

Breakfast. This morning we travel down to the region of Extremadura with a stop in its capital, Mérida. A UNESCO site and one of the best-preserved Roman cities in the Iberian Peninsula we shall admire its fascinating past.

Continue to Burguillos del Cerro which will serve as our headquarters for the art workshop. We check in at our lodgings and go for a walk. Dinner and overnight.

DIA 04 – MIERCOLES: BURGUILLOS DEL CERRO

Early morning meditation (optional andat no extracost).

Breakfast and first workshop session. Later, walk in the Jewish quarter of Burguillos to unveil its rich historical heritage. Lunch and rest. fntroduction to the Dehesa forests. Free time at leisure. Dinner and overnight. at hotel.

DIA 05 – JUEVES: BURGUILLOS DEL CERRO

Early morning meditation (optional and at no extra cost).

Breakfast and second working session. We then walk to Nicomedes´ farm for looking workshop. Identifying Mediterranean plants and getting to know the secrets of the Dehesa forests. Free time at leisure. Dinner and overnight in the hotel.

DIA 06 – VIERNES: BURGUILLOS DEL CERRO

Early morning meditation (optional and at no extra cost).

Breakfast and third workshop session. Group Lunch and   free time before  getting ready  for  a  half  day  excursion  to  nearby  Jerez  de  los  Caballeros.  The  cradle  of  the  Order  of  the  Knights  Templars,  this  magical  city  has  lots  to  offer. Vasco Nuñez de Balboa, the  discoverer  of  the Pacific  Ocean  was born  here.  We  stay  for our  group  dinner  and  come  back  to  our  lodgings. Overnight.

DIA 07 – SABADO: BURGUILLOS DEL CERRO / SEVILLA

Early  morning  meditation (optional  and  at  no  extra  cost).

Breakfast and fourth workshop session  before we  leave  for  Seville.  Visit to an olive oil  producer  en  route.  Taste this  liquid  gold.  Drive south to the capital of Andalucía, the most artistic  of  the  Spanish  cities.  Keep your eyes open:  art is everywhere.  We  will go  on  a  sightseeing  tour  upon  arrival  followed  by  an orientation  walk  in  the  old  Jewish  quarter  before  group  dinner. Overnight.

DIA 08 – DOMINGO: SEVILLA

Breakfast. A full day in this magical city will give us the opportunity to immerse ourselves in art at the fine art museum with our expert and having lots of free time for own explorations, shopping, and dinner on your own. Overnight

DIA 09 – LUNES: SEVILLA / CORDOBA / MALAGA

Breakfast. We drive to Málaga via Córdoba. One of the most fascinating cities of Andalucia, Córdoba reflects very well the Arab culture in Spain. We visit the unique mosque-cathedral with our guide and walk in the enchanting Jewish quarter. Inspiring and refreshing, this ancient Moorish capital has no comparison. Meet the Mediterranean in the bright city of Málaga, one of the ancient cities of Europe. Walking tour after checking in at our hotel. Dinner and overnight

DIA 10 – MARTES: MALAGA

Breakfast. We discover Málaga today with the visit of Picasso Museum. Housed in a beautiful palace near the cathedral, it always was the artists intention to donate some of his works to the city where he was born. We shall also view the house where he was born and the church where he was baptized. Free afternoon before our dinner. Enjoy a typical farewell dinner on the beach!, Overnight
